  • Presume
    1. wp-config to ALLOW MULTISITE etc
    2. Login /Tools/network setup/Install
    3. Login /create network
    4. Copy/paste wp-config and .htaccess(x 2 if WP not root)
Does the top left menu then mention sites anywhere?

    Dear Richard and Mika,

    Thanks for your replies!

The first time I followed those steps I logged in and everything looked the same – no mention of sites on the top left. I have just tried again and now it will not let me look in – the browser says “too many redirects occurred.”

I took the pasted section out of the wp-config file (leaving what was in the .htaccess) and now I can log in again.

Now when I go to the network page, the wp-config and .htaccess boxes are still there but it says, “Warning: An existing WordPress network was detected.”

You have to delete the DB calls as well.

Sorry for my ignorance – where could I find those?
