Hello, sorry but I dont know what version of wordpress I am running. I just installed it today (sept 19, 2007), and it appeared to be up and running just fine. I tried downloading some files that was supposed to change the theme of the login page but I forgot to backup all my files before doing so.

There were only 3 files that it uploaded: wp-login.php, login-bk-title.gif and login-bkg-bottom.gif.

I suspect it was my overwrite of the file wp-login.php that is my real problem but I dont know how to repair it since I never made backups.

I tried to reinstall but it told me that it was already installed and wouldnt let me do it.

I thought if I could just get another default copy of the wp-login.php file and upload it that this might resolve the problem but I cannot find a copy on the wordpress site.

The actual error I get is: Fatal error: Unknown function: wp_get_cookie_login() in /home/www/mmopps/wordpress2/wp-login.php on line 183

Any information would be helpful. Thanks

Download the WP package and you'll have your backup file(s).

Thanks for the reply. I tried that and came up with all kinds of errors such as:

Fatal error: require() [function.require]: Failed opening required '/home/www/mmopps/wordpress2/wp-config.php' (include_path='.:/usr/share/pear:/usr/local/Smarty') in /home/www/mmopps/wordpress2/wp-login.php on line 2

I am wondering if it might be easier for me to restore the site from backups prior to the install of wordpress and try the installation again. Any ideas?
