Possible Function Addition?

I am currently using WP-O-Matic to supplement the news section on my site.

However, the one “issue” I’ve run into, is that when using {content} it obviously pulls the entire article from the feed. While this is good, I’d much rather have it pull a snipet of the article.

Perhaps an addition to this would be to be able to dictate how many characters could be pulled?

If someone has figured out a way to hack this into the existing, I’d be more than willing to hack away.
