• I’m completely new to wordpress and would love to be able to upload my own, illustrated headers for my blog. Perhaps i’m not using the correct theme or am i going to have employ some code here?

Any detailed help would be much appreciated as i’m still pretty green to wordpress and blogging in general.

    Thanks

  • Hi,

there are a bunch of themes out there with this specific feature in mind, i.e.: they have their own interface inside the administration menu (Usually under the Presentation menu) where you can just upload and use your own header.

Not all themes have this feature built-in, though. For those that don’t have the feature, you will have to modify the CSS file yourself.

    I hope this helps.

    Hi,

yeah that does help actually, thanks.
Where can i find themes like this or how do i identify this feature in the theme viewer?

    cheers

    Hi,
in themes.wordpress.net, to the left side there’s a sorting area where one of the option for searching is called “Options Page”. This means that the theme created its own option page inside the admin area. Go search for that.

While changing header image might not be one of the available option, there’s a good chance some of them have this feature.

And for “Do It Yourself” Custom Header designing, you can always check over here as well. Good luck. =)
