    I just updated the plugin and tried to send a mail to a group of users.

    There are 14 members of that group but the status message after sending the mail said that the mail had been sent to 116 users (all the users on the site).

    I tried to send a mail only to the admin group in which there are two members but again the mail was sent to all 116 users.

    The plugin has been working perfectly until this version. I could see in the release notes that: Fixed bug in Send to Groups where number of users receiving email was wrong. Could that have something to do with this?

    I updated and no mail goes out and page does not completely refresh back to the post.

    @jahannesdb – I have replicated the problem you describe and am looking into it. @rarney – can you describe the sequence you did so I can see if I can replicate it?

    I have found a bug which was causing recipients to be selected when they shouldn’t have been when using the Mail to Group feature. I have fixed this issue and pushed out an update.

    Let me know if you run into anything else.

    @rarney – I am unable to replicate this problem. No matter how I get to the post notification screen, it works as intended.

    @ Mike: just updated the plugin and sent a test mail. Works like a charm 🙂

    Excellent.

    The update fixes part of the issue but when I select multiple groups while holding ctrl it only sends to one group. Even though both groups are highlighted. This is much easier to work around then the prior issue of it sending to everyone but still not totally fixed.

    Can you double check this with the latest release?

    In my development area I have 3 users assigned the “Contributor” role, 2 users assigned the “Editor” role, and 49 users assigned the “Subscriber” role. No matter what combination of the three roles I select (all or any two of them) the proper number of users appear in the email header.

    I just sent a mail to several groups and it worked as expected. I’m using the latest release.
