I’m having trouble understanding the settings for this plugin. I do understand the first two lines – x number of allowed entries will lock out the person for x number of minutes. I have these set to 2 and 60.

The third line is x number of lockouts increase locout time to x number of hours. I have this set to 2 lockouts increase the lockout time to 24 hours.

What I don’t understand is the last line; x number of hours until retries are reset. What does this mean?

In the default settings this number was set to 12 hours. Where is this 12 hours counted from? From the beginning of the first lockout, after the first lockout, the beginning of the second lockout or after the second lockout?

Also, what would be the setting to keep someone locked out for the maximum amount of time? If I set the second lockout to for example 100 hours what would I set the reset number to? do I keep it at 12? Or do I also set it to 100? Or do I set it for more then 100? I just can’t wrap my brain around this reset number…)c:

If someone could explain this I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks in bunches!…(c:
