• Hi, I’m new here, and new to blogging all together. I’m trying to do this all on my own, so sometimes it’s all greek to me. Anyhow, I’m using cutline, and using filezilla, I’ve uploaded wpstats to my plugins folder. For some reason, however, it won’t appear on my plugins page list (so that I can activate it).

    Any ideas?

    Thanks,
    Aileen

check to make sure the wp-stats is only 1 folder level deep.

    i.e., it should be
    /wp-content/plugins/wpstats/wpstats.php

depending on how you unzipped it, you might accidentally have:
    /wp-content/plugins/wpstats1.1/wpstats/wpstats.php
    or something similar

thanks for your idea, sunburnt – I checked my files and it had installed into a subdirectory as well – I think maybe the author didn’t quite mean for that to happen lol I’d have just deleted it and moved on. Thanks! 🙂
