Advanced formatting options for TIME PICKER not available?

Im trying to change the controlType to select instead but it seems to be disabled….additionally, I would like to be able to show the time with the am/pm names yet when added like so hh:mm tt nothing seems to happen – is there a way to accomplish this with your plugin? Otherwise it seems using a textarea instead is my only option.
