HOW to make only posts in certain (not all) categories on FrontPage?

    I search this site and found 2 Plugins [Sticky Front Page Categories and Tags] & [Front Page Category] can do what I want, SO BAD they’re all too OLD (haven’t updated for 2 years) and not compatible with my version of wordpress.

    So HOW could I make only posts in certain (not all) categories on FrontPage?
