    Hello,
I just made a test with Custom sidebars (v. 1.1) and Black Studio TinyMCE Widget (v. 1.1.1) and it looks like they’re working well together (on WordPress v. 3.5.1).
I believe your issue can be caused by another plugin (or theme).
Please try to selectively disable the other plugins and check if it works. You may also take a look at browser javascript error console.

I have the same problem. When the Custom sidebars (v1.1) plugin is installed the TinyMCE WYSIWYG editor is not displayed within the Black Studio TinyMCE Widget and the html tab is greyed out. A text area is present and when content is added to this it can be saved albeit unformatted.

I have deactivated all plugins except Black Studio TinyMCE Widget, Contact Form 7, Custom sidebars, WP Display Header, WP Super Cache.
Using Responsive theme Version 1.8.9.3 and WordPress 3.5.1.

Now here is what is really strange! a second website that is not hosted at the root, http://www.rowantreetravel.com works fine with the same configuration, except that it was the second web site I build, so the plugin installation was more straight forward.

http://www.joyceraybooks.com does not work and it is the at the root of my hosting account. It also does not have drag and drop from the widget list working (rowantree does have drag & drop of TinyMCE Widget to the sidebar widgets). I have to add widget to specific widget areas instead of drag and drop. This may be the source of the problem but I cannot find that problem either.

    Any thoughts?

    Bob

I just tried with the same exact configuration, and it works for me, so the problem should be somewhere else.

Please ensure that the visual editor is enabled in your user profile.
Also check the browser console for possible javascript errors.

Follow-up: It looks like that in your second site you have the widgets accessibility mode enabled, which disables the drag & drop. You may disable the accessibility mode from the Screen options (button in the top right corner in the Widgets screen).
There was an incompatibility issue between the widgets accessibility mode and Black Studio TinyMCE widget, which was fixed with the latest release, so please update the plugin.

Thanks, Marco, the update fixed the problem.
