    Hi,
My website used a paid memberships pro plugin, and being test to login.
Does this avoid duplicate login. Let say I am logged in on my PC and someone else uses my account and login on another machine, how will it respond?

Will it allow the login or reject it because the user is already logged in?

I mind, is there a way to avoid sharing of username.
    Thanks.

  • Great question. It would be great to block duplicate logins using same credentials especially on a different IP.

Yes, I thought about it, for example we entered login to Yahoo messenger in one computer A, if we go by logging elsewhere in computer B, then log on automatically to a computer A closed. (I wanted to like this)

I think, if the IP address block does not help because when the username and password in the know people, they can easily enter the login.

I created a website which sells a special article for the company, which the company is a lot of people who want to read and they have to get membership. Then if the company becomes membership and username given to someone, then someone else in the company is no longer a membership again. The potential customer is reduced.

I think it is useful to others in my case. Maybe there someone can help. Thank you.

Maybe this feature is already in this plugin but I wish the admin would reply.

Any users can touch upon this subject of restricting duplicate login credentials or simultaneous login?

Do you know if this plugin prevents multiple simultaneous logins from different IP addresses? Or, is there any other safeguard against people sharing their paid subscriptions?

I don’t think this plugin is designed to prevent concurrent logins by the same user.

@ehong33234, @essaysnark ; Hi, Thanks for the response.

This time I still can not find a solution. Users can still log in conjunction with different computers, of course with a different IP. I would wait if anyone could help later. To Admin, this will be the input for the future development of this plugin.
    Thanks.

The WP eMember plugin from Tips & Tricks HQ has this as a listed feature but I’ve never used it. See http://www.tipsandtricks-hq.com/wordpress-membership/wp-emember-plugin-features-168

This isn’t in the plugin now, but I am working on another plugin to do the same thing. I will post something to http://www.PaidMembershipsPro.com/blog/ when it’s out or you can follow it on GitHub here: https://github.com/strangerstudios/wp-bouncer (working with @norcross on this)

@strangerstudios WONDERFUL! Please keep us posted. Do you have an expected timeline by any chance? Working with @norcross, awesome! He is great!
