• I use the Wordpess Twenty Twelve theme, I can fill the wiki articles (save them edit etc), I cannot view the article and OK I can link them from my blogpages as articles but in the blogpage in which is it linked it does not appear but this does appear ‘This is somewhat embarrassing, isn’t it?’

I just want to use the WordPress Wiki as a separate lexicon. And i do not understand the ‘to display your wiki articles on a page, you can either use the included template files (in the /templates directory), or you can use the [wpwtds] shortcode that’s been added in 0.9.’ part.

    Is there a solution?

Are you using the [wpwtds] shortcode somewhere on your site?

I added {wpwtds} in the start of the wiki articles but I am not sure if what I did was correct. I was just trying to fiddle the WordPress Wiki that doesn’t suck and added it as an additional Lexicon (like Diccionario de Términos y Definiciones), because i need an additional databse to cross reference terms etc

    Your help is appreciated

    Kind regards,

    1. It’s not {wpwtds} it’s [wpwtds]. If you don’t understand what a shortcode is, here’s some documentation on it: http://codex.wordpress.org/Shortcode

    2. You don’t put the shortcode in the wiki articles, you put it on a page where you want the articles to display. So whatever page you want to display your lexicon will be the page with the shortcode. Once the shortcode is there, all your definitions should display on that page.

You should be able to. All the wiki articles will have the same slug/directory path:

    http://yourdomain.com/wiki/your-article-title/

If you don’t have pretty permalinks set up, then they’ll be like any other post, e.g.

    http://yourdomain.com/?p=123
