The photo-sidebar-widget seems to greatly slow page loads on my dev site. Is there any way to either cache the images, or let the rest of the page load while the photos come in from the RSS feed?

Posted 2 years ago #I agree...with large feeds or many photos to be displayed, the plugin can slow page loading to an unacceptable level. I've never been really 100% satisfied with the way it's done. I'll see if I can't play around with caching images on the server.

Posted 1 year ago #I recently released version 2.0 of the widget, which includes caching. I'm finding this does speed things up in most cases (although slow feeds are still an issue). Thanks for the suggestion!
