Wordpress for Webcomic? (2 posts)

    I was thinking about using Wordpress to power a webcomic.

    I was hoping that I could have a few questions answered or some suggestions on how to make this work.

    Ideally, I would like there to be a 'front page' with the latest comic at the top, a post following it, and another post. However, I'd want these all to be dynamic. I don't want to have to add the two posts (It's going to be kinda like a blog post, explanation, etc from me and co-author) to the actual comic post. I thought that there might be some way to work this out through setting each post up in it's own category and setting the front page to show something like latest post from category 1, under it latest from category 2, and under that latest from category 3. I know wordpress is powerfully customizable with it's PHP frame, so I think it's a possibility, I just don't have a large grasp on it.

    Thanks. =D

    Wordpress is an excellent choice for hosting a webcomic. My site AWSOM.org is one place to get support for this type of usage. I would suggest that you maybe send an email over to the guys at Applegeeks.com, they might have a setup that is similar to what you are looking for. Ask them how they set their stuff up. Hawk (the artist) is usually the guy who does their web work, so you might want to send an email to him. I'm friends with those guys, so you might want to mention that Harknell posted on the forum and directed you over to them.
