• When I click Run Now I get the message that the job has started but nothing ever happens after that. No error messages, no files are backed up and no log created. Version 3.0.2

This is a multisite installation with only one site created so far.
On the server both folders backwpup-5fa3a-temp and backwpup-f991c-logs are empty.

    Any ideas?

This is what is in the Server Self Connect field:

The HTTP response test get a error “Could not open handle for fopen() to http://intranet2/?backwpup_run=test&_nonce=a087567eec”The HTTP response test get a false http status ()The HTTP response gives back the false body “”

Did u have installed curl extension of PHP?

    Thread Starter DollarBill

    (@bcjhamil)

Would I see that in phpinfo? I don’t see anything that says “curl” on the phpinfo page.

Can you install it or ask your hoster for it. Many Aplications need it.

I just installed it and restarted apache. Do I need to do anything else before attempting to run the backup job again?

    No, normely not.

I seem to have similar problem. Backup works on my local machine but when trying on live site it says job “full backup” started but it does nothing.
I have checked the installation and in the server self connect field it says this :

The HTTP response gives back the false body " Richard Páleník var icl_lang = 'sk';var icl_home = 'http://richardpalenik.cz'; .recentcomments a{display:inline !important;padding:0 !important;margin:0 !important;} html, body, div, span, applet, object, iframe, h1, h2, h3, h4, h5, h6, p, blockquote, pre, a, abbr, acronym, address, big, cite, code, del, dfn, em, img, ins, kbd, q, s, samp, small, strike, strong, sub, sup, tt, var, b, u, i, center, dl, dt, dd, ol, ul, li, fieldset, form, label, legend, table, caption, tbody, tfoot, thead, tr, th, td, article, aside, canvas, details, embed, figure, figcaption, footer, header, hgroup, menu, nav, output, ruby, section, summary, time, mark, audio, video { margin: 0; padding: 0; border: 0; font-size: 100%; font: inherit; vertical-align: baseline; } article, aside, details, figcaption, figure, footer, header, hgroup, menu, nav, section { display: block; } body { line-height: 1; } ol, ul { list-style: none; } blockquote, q { quotes: none; } blockquote:before, blockquote:after, q:before, q:after { content: ''; content: none; } table { border-collapse: collapse; border-spacing: 0; } body { font-family : Tahoma, Verdana, Arial; font-color: #000000; padding-left: 20%; padding-top:50px; padding-bottom: 50px; padding-right: 5%; background-color: #FFFFFF; } p { padding-top: 8px; padding-bottom: 8px; } Richard PáleníkPlease enter your email address Administrator login >> "

Is this something that can be overcome ?

In my experience the row must be:
Server self connect: Response Test O.K.
If not, you will receive a “Job <name> Started” message and nothing happens.
For me that was caused by some maintenance plugin or any other thing that change your site’s usual homepage.
If this is not your scenario, try to disable every plugin except BackWPup.

Criso many thanks, now it works.

My problem was “Friends only” plugin that required login to my pages as they are still in construction mode. When disabled, all has worked smoothly.

Now I’m getting the following error:
The HTTP response test get a error “Couldn’t resolve host ‘intranet2′”The HTTP response test get a false http status ()The HTTP response gives back the false body “”

    Plugin Author Daniel Hüsken

    (@danielhuesken)

@dollarbill :”Couldn’t resolve host ‘intranet2′” add the hostname intranet2 in the Servers ‘hosts’ file with the IP Adress of the server.

    (@bcjhamil)

That fixed it! Thanks so much!
