• Hello, just wondering if there is a way to edit all comments belonging under one specific post at once..for example when I want to delete them all because users started flaming and insulting each other and theres no end to it..it is kinda time-taking when I have to do “edit-delete-yes” with every comment. Been looking for a plugin but havent found one.
    Thank you for any answer

  • Since I don’t know what version of WP you’re using, or where your site is, I can only offer advice based on the latest release.

    go to yoursite.com/wp-admin/edit-comments.php?mode=edit

you can get here by going into admin, choosing “comments” from the menu bar, and then choosing “mass edit mode” which is right below the search bar.

If this isn’t available, try upgrading to the latest version of wordpress first.

Thank you for your answer at first.
Im using 2.0.2, I entered it when writing the question, didnt realize it doesnt show up, sorry.
What you describe is there, however it doesnt sort comments according to individual posts (but by date), whitch is what I need. Do you think latest version has this feature? Im kinda scared of uprgrading, tried it few times and always ended up with destroying the whole blog.

My bad – I didn’t see up there. You did enter it! 🙂

I’m using 2.2.2 and no, it doesn’t sort them by post. (You should still upgrade though, for security reasons, but that’s another story.)

I was just thinking in terms of doing it this way, you can check all the boxes for the “flames” and delete them all at once.

The only other way I can think of is to do it manually, one by one, the way you had before – but I think it’d be faster to just scan through and mark the checkboxes… that’s the way I’d do it anyway. 🙂
