Latest update of W3 Total Cache crashed my site

I have used this plugin for years and found it very useful. However when I installed the latest update on Feb 9, it locked me out of my admin panel and I had to completely delete it via my hosting file manager. Scary experience! At this point I have to rate it as poor although in the past I would have rated it as very good. I appreciate all the work that the developer puts into this, and I hope that it can and will be fixed so that I dare use it again.
