Does anyone know if there are any major (or minor for that matter) changes expected for the admin area in 2.3? Basically I'm wondering if my "Earthtones" admin theme plugin will work with it or if I'll have to do some updating for the new release.

Not sure about that one, but I just made up a 2.3 Theme Compatibility Page on the codex. People will need to test themes, upgrade themes and what-not. Then update that Compatible List Page for them.

Good stuff. I made an entry this morning after testing a theme out on my development box.
