    Hello,
    my website is http://www.qb-quantobasta.net.

    I’d like to:
    – reduce the distance between the header and the top of the page. I searched on the forum but I tried to modify different parts of the code, but really didn’t find a way to do it.
    I am sorry, I’m a newbie.

[The following moved from your other simultaneous post – let’s keep all these together]

    I’d like to:
    – center the logo
    and then
    – add the h2 description of the site on the right of the image (at the moment it is hidden)

  • Your child theme style.css file should contain ONLY the changes – not a copy of the entire parent stylesheet. So correct that first.

Do you want to move the white part up (so no background shows) or move the logo closer to the top of the white part?

Are you using Firebug (or another similar browser tool) to work with CSS? That’s absolutely the only way to do this kind of thing.

    Yes I am using Firebug.
I would like to center the logo and the description.
But now I made another header, so I think I will not display h1 and h2, and just the header.

I will change the stylesheet of my child theme, the fact is that until I finish to modify the stylesheet for me is more useful to keep all the code, because I work in this way:
    – search the part of the code with firebug (or on the forum)
    – search in the code for it
    – modify it
    – refresh on filezilla
    – upload the new file
    – see how it works on the website

if this is not causing any problems I will work like this and then I will keep just the modified parts.

    thank you!

ok so now I changed the header.
what I would like to do now is to make the header image large like the white container. and possibly change its color.

anyway I solved in another way.
    tks
