WordPress update screen doesn't show update progress

Hi,

I’ve searched through before and could not find this exact topic…maybe I used wrong search terms.

When I’m updating WordPress or updating a plugin, the update page is still active (not blank), but it doesn’t show the progress of anything as it would. When this happens I wait about a minute, refresh and the updates are done. No blank screen which is more a common issue.

Has anyone had this issue before. I’ve seen it happen a few times over years, so I know it’s not version specific and I never asked for help since it’s not “broken” and still does the job.
