Looks very bright and pleasant to the eyes. I like the combination of blue, white and something earthly. Also very complete, with all the extra coding (I like the addition of the b-u-i tags in the commentspage).
Personally I make the fonts on my pc (19″”) one time larger. I know those tiny letters look rather neat, but I prefer pages that are easier to read, especially when there is so much to read.
Also I like another way of displaying photographs more that the method you’re using now. Images are visual, so the post-like display of images, again with more text than needed, seems to be a bit overcomplete. I’m glad you didn’t also include all the technical information about the camera etc.
Very clean site!
Thanks for the comments ^_^.
I was thinking about making the font one size larger myself, on 1400*1024 (My Res) its okay to read but I do thnk it would be alot nicer one size bigger.
Do you mean the gallery pages, like this? http://www.surfionline.com/gallery/view.php/16 Is so, I’ll try to impeove it a bit..
Chris.
cool! a very clean and pleasant look … easy to read and navigate … the posts are interesting, too ;o)
i’m especially impressed with your “quote” CSS application
i.e., /*** MyCode ***/
do you plan to make a ‘zip’ of the style & CSS and share with the community? i think this would be a VERY popular style!
nice job … i take my hat off to you!
Thanks for the comments 😀
I don’t really want to redistribute the layout because its sort of my personal site, and I want to keep it like that. I am working on several themes (some similar) for WordPress though which I intend to redistribute.
The MyCode is parsed by a custom plugin I made, in which i pulled the core MyCode functions from the forum software I make, MyBB. I love textile, but I also love the simplicity of a BB Code system, and I think its also a lot easier for newbish commentors to use the BB Code rather than attempt HTML.
I haven’t had time to check out many other copies of WordPress, but I love what I have seen so far. Everyone is putting a lot of work in and it looks like its a very rewarding process.
Regards,
Chris
