  • Hey leontis. Thanks for then note here, and for the link – I am indeed seeing the problem here.

If the templating solution doesn’t work, my first bet would be it’s related to the permalinks structure – we’ve had a number of reports where default permalinks (such as those you’ve got going there) cause problems with the plugin’s functionality. Can you try changing to a structure like /%postname%/ and see if the issue persists?

Is what you are suggesting reversible? I mean if after changing to /%postname%/ links I then change back to default permalinks will I have the exact same link for each post and page as before?

    Hi leontis,

Yes, you can change your permalink structure back and forth without losing links.

Let us know how that goes.

    Thanks,

The problem persists even when changing the permalink structure to …/%postname%/.

    Hi leontis,

What do you have selected as your Event Template in Events > Settings > Template? If you have the Default Events Template selected, you’re going to need to modify the /wp-content/plugins/the-events-calendar/views/ecp-page-template.php and /wp-content/plugins/the-events-calendar/views/ecp-single-template.php conditionally hiding the sidebars in your theme. You can use this conditional code to help you: https://gist.github.com/jo-snips/2415009

If you are using the Default Page Template or any other theme template option, the plugin is going to use your theme’s page.php and single.php template files or another page template file based on what you have selected. Again, you’ll need to conditionally hide the sidebars with the code I provided above.

Unfortunately this is about all the guidance I can provide you. Good luck!

Well, I am using the Full Width template which works fine when used in other pages (e.g. http://www.emc-square.org/emc2/?page_id=5886). But when used for The Events Calendar page it does not work. Shouldn’t this selection remove the sidebars automaticaly?

    Hi leontis,

It should use that same template like your other pages but unfortunately there may be something in your page template code that is not allowing this to work normally. You will need to figure it out on your own or hire a developer to help you. Sorry I can’t offer up more here.

    Hi,
how can I add an events in to the slider?
I use The Events Calendar and Custom Community themes. Is it even possible?

Theme Options > Slideshow > Slideshow post category
I check one of category e.g. ‘foto’. I use this category to posts and events, but slider shows only post.

    Thanks, Marek

    sorry for my english :\

    Hi Marek,

Please don’t hijack threads – instead create a new thread of your own and someone will be happy to help.

    Thanks!

    That’s appreciated, thank you!
