    ok,
solve it’s appear that when we unistall the plugin some setting relative to yarpp are still in the wp-option table.
I clean all the yarpp reference in this table, and it work great now

@colir thanks for letting me know… others have reported similar issues with the latest version, and I’d like to fix it. A few questions:

    1. Have you used YARPP before on this WordPress site?
    2. Did you install this by copying the files into wp-content, or using the builtin plugin installer?
    3. If you updated, did you update together with other plugins, or did you just update this one?

    Hi Mitcho,
    here is my answer :
    – yes i already use the plugin, and i just proceed to an upgrade via the buitin process.
    i’ve only update this one.

If this can help you, i dont remember from wich version i update, but i think that it was a later version (perhapas 3.2.2 i think)

I’m having the same issue. Today I tried to update your plug in to 4.0.4 and it crashed my site as well as the wordpress work space for my site. Any time I try to move to a different screen in http://www.momentumsc.com/wp/wp-admi, I get this error message:

Fatal error: Call to a member function get_option() on a non-object in /home/momentum/public_html/wp/wp-content/plugins/yet-another-related-posts-plugin/yarpp.php on line 54

I had just updated some posts and checked to see that they are working and was prompted to update your plugin. That’s when this trouble started.

To answer your questions above to Colir see my answers below:

    1. Have you used YARPP before on this WordPress site? yes
    2. Did you install this by copying the files into wp-content, or using the builtin plugin installer? plugin
    3. If you updated, did you update together with other plugins, or did you just update this one? with two other plugins (Page Links To and ShareThis)

How can we fix this? I need to have my site up and running again.

    Michael

    Hi all,

I believe this issue might be resolved in this new beta:

    http://downloads.wordpress.org/plugin/yet-another-related-posts-plugin.4.0.5b1.zip

Please give it a try. As this is an urgent bugfix, if I can confirm that it improves the situation for a number of people, without introducing new bugs, I would like to push this version 4.0.5 out soon. Thanks in advance for your feedback!

    Hi, Worked for me, thanks!
I’m still working on getting the related posts to display but it fixed the wp-admin crash.

    Hello Mitcho,

I’ve uploaded the beta zip file you posted yesterday, and I have a back up of my blog.

But I’m not very technical, and I don’t know what to do with the extracted zip file. I cannot log into my blog via the Admin page.

    Please advise,
    Thanks!

(I had updated WordPress from 3.1 to 3.5.1, and was updating all the reactivated plug ins from within the Admin dashboard when I got the “Fatal error….line 54” error message. All the other plug ins seemed to update okay, YARPP was the last one.)

    Thanks!

Your update works for me, Mitcho.

    Thanks!

Wonderful! Version 4.0.5 has been pushed out:

@kimbesa: you should now be able to use WordPress’s plugin updater to update YARPP to the latest version, which should not have this issue.
