Hello rpatwall1206
The ‘gate.gra4.com-2’ sounds weird.
What’s the URL of your website?
I’d recommend just remove the plugin, and re-install it from scratch – latest versions of the GRA4 for WordPress install ‘in one click’ and pretty much do not leave a space for an error during the installation.
For more information please check Wiki at
http://en.wiki.gra4.com/GRA4_for_WordPress_Installation
(includes video installation guide)Don’t hesitate to ask if you have more questions π
Thank you, I completely uninstalled it deleted the GRA4 page and reinstalled using wordpress plugin installer. Same error. I am using the Custom Community theme, but wanted to add the GRA4 plugin as a pre-made profile page for my members. Is this plugin not compatible with themes?
Thanks again.
Well, we haven’t encountered a theme incompatible with the GRA4. Although, considering GRA4 is about 1000px wide, it does not look perfect with all themes, that’s why we’ve included special tool in the admin interface, so you can move the GRA4 block up in the DOM tree, and make parent elements wider.
But it’s not the installation issue indeed =). Sound more like something is wrong with the Permalink.
When you were uninstalling the plugin, did you remove the page also? Is the Permalink of the plugin page set to ‘gra4’ ?
So, what’s the URL of your website?
BTW I just installed the GRA4 on the Custom Community theme, no problem, take a look:
http://wmexp.com/wp2/gra4/
If you don’t want to play with the GRA4 admin interface (using the default settings), on the GRA4 page attributes just select ‘Full width’ in the Template field.BTW, via the admin interface I switched to the Extended Visualization, and selected “div id=container” in the ‘GRA4 block position’. Looks kinda prettier (GRA4 block moved up a bit, no waisted space)… Although, it’s definitely depends on the rest of the website design… and on personal preferences =)
Nice theme though! The url is itsdivinity.com.
I did change the templale to full with when I installed it.
The last few times I uninstalled and reinstalled, each time I deleted the GRA4 page. The demo of the GRA4 Social net you included here is perfect. I just don’t understand, why mines isn’t working. I checked with my hosting and they said it was an issue with the plugin. So I ftp’d it up to my site and got the same error. Isn’t it just perfect for a profile page? I’m not giving up!!! Ifyu think of anything please let me know.
Thanks a bunch
So I guess since you stated that this discussion was resolved that, that is about all the help I am going to get on this issue. So I guess I will look for something else.
http://itsdivinity.com/ looks pretty normal. Apache, etc.
Theme is not the point also – see above, I’ve installed that ‘Custom Community’ thingie – works great.
Well, maybe GRA4 conflicts with some caching plugin… In this case try to deactivate everything, install the GRA4, and activate everything back. But honestly I doubt it’s a plugin – there is something wrong with the URL…
Weird guess: You are not installing over https, are you ? =)We probably can assign an engineer for you tomorrow, but you’ll have to arrange the access to your hosting somehow, for example: create another admin user, give us id/password, and delete this user after the plugin is installed. It’s very unusual error report, so it’s interesting to us also =)
Anyways, please be patient. If you want (almost) instant response from the techsupport people (not a gimps from half-sober sleepless developer), at least wait until it’s morning on the other side of the water π
Hah! I know what happened!
Check the permalink on your GRA4 page – I bet it says ‘gra4-2’ =)OK thanks, I ended up deleting the whole wordpress and re-installing it so that I could start over and it looks fine now. I just have a question that I have not seen asked, and the wiki does not address. Is there a way to add images or a gallery plugin in the right sidebar for members to add images? Can anything be added to the right sidebar?
Thanks for your help.
Hey rpatwall1206,
glad it worked for you.
We are talking about the right sidebar of the GRA4 block ? Right now you (well, any user of course =) ) can add widgets there. See the button “Add Widgets”. We working on new widgets right now, and one of them will be the one for the picture gallery.Thank you I will be looking forward to the new widget updates especially the image gallery.
ThanksYou are very welcome =)
If you have more questions – don’t hesitate to askTrof: I got a glimpse of GRA4 on my wordpress a couple days ago then upgraded via the plug in links and it doesn’t work now. I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled a few times. It is not making the gra4 directory.
Can you please help?
Hey, Trof…. is this to create our own Social Network or to become part of a bigger thing? I need something that is just for my group, not a part of a wider social network.
Hey sylviaivie
well yes, technically GRA4 is a bigger thing.
