Randomly, like once in 10 tries, when i click on the “Add New” button for media or other posts, or when i’m navigating through the tabs of WP Super Cache options page, or adding tags in a post (basically, it is so random that can happen when i click anything in the backend), i get a 302 redirect to the front page.

Since it is a high traffic website, it is very difficult to deactivate all plugins and use twentytwelve theme.

    The plugins currently installed are:
    Advanced Custom Fields 3.5.8.1
All in One SEO Pack 1.6.15.3
    BackUpWordPress 2.1.3
    Disqus Comment System 2.74
    Fanciest Author Box 1.3.3
    FancyBox for WordPress 3.0.2
    Google News Sitemap 1.0.9
    Google XML Sitemaps 3.2.9
    Quform Form Builder 1.3.6
    SlideDeck 2 Personal 2.1.20130116
    WP Ajax Grid 1.2
    WP Minify 1.2.0
    WP Pro Ad System 2.3
    WP Super Cache 1.2

    The response header:

Any ideas why this is happening?

  • Your post notes a typical issue with updating your site with old plugins or themes and additionally caching your pages…deactivate all plugins, test site…activate one at a time, test site, the last plugin to activate is the caching plugin and ONLY once you are confident site runs well!

It turns out it was WP Super Cache that was causing that issue. I tried mod_rewrite and PHP mode in caching, but same results. Going to open another thread pointing this issue to WP Super Cache.
