Importing WP posts, etc. into SMF?

    Hello all,
    I recently decided to add SMF forums to my blog and was wondering if it was possible to somehow style it after my wordpress structure?

    For example on my site, I have categories such as advice and humor, and posts within them. What I would like to have in my forums is a similar hierarchy, with my wordpress categories being different boards, and my wordpress posts being threads, where members can discuss what I wrote (and probably disabling blog comments in the process).

    Also, is there some sort of program that could automate this process, where every time I make a blog post, a new thread would be created in the appropriate board?

    PS: I also downloaded the WP & SMF plugin, but couldn’t find a similar feature.

    Hello jamestl2,

    The answer….sort of!

    The best so far is within the “Theme Integration” options of the WP_SMF admin page. It’s not quite as advanced as what you seem to be looking for, though.

    SMF has some great SSI features which may help. And definitley, with some php work, you can perfect it.

    Other than that, I’m working on automating some of these integration features, but I am not done yet.
