Moving several images from default uploads directory to a custom directory

    Hi,

    I have to move some images from the default uploads directory to another custom directory. Eg.: I have an image in my /uploads/2012/12 folder and want to move this image to /links-images.

    I know how to move the files phyiscally, but now i want to know how i can move them without losing the existing links (database relationships to the images) in my blog posts.

    How can this be done?

    Unless you are dealing with a storage limit somewhere, maybe just copy them to wherever you need them.

    By just copying them to another place I will lose the existing links. I wonder if there is a plugin that can do this task.
