   an implementation of phpMyFilter (http://www.amazemail.com/ ) should do the trick

   there is one that works fine in the nightlies...
   wiki also have some of the most common bad words...

   I don't know all the bad words, so I downloaded a list from http://support.discusware.com/center/resources/tips/cusswords.php
   I also like the idea of automatically substituting funny words for cuss words using filters, such as Fun Filters (who converts posts to "pirate talk", etc.). An easier solution would be to change all spam or profanity into ****
