Carousel Not working

On the slim jetpack, the carousel locks up the screen. thumbnails show up, then when one clicked the black backdrop and arrows, comments etc show up but no picture and the screen cannot be closed nor does the back button work. Looks like a great way to beef up the standard WP gallery if I could get it to work. I am using it with Builder parent theme from ithemes.com
