• Hi everyone, and the WP avatar, brilliant person/saint who can help me!
I have just been using WP sporadically. I decided to get into it with a vengence as DreamWeaver was too tough to figure out!

Regardless, here is my dilemma: On my new Macintosh running Google Chrome and Safari, my website looks fine: http://www.gloriadelossantos.com

on a PC running IE, the images are black on the posts in the Minimatica Theme. So frustrating. I wish it would look the same. Here it is 2013 and we’re still having these stupid PC versus Macintosh fights. How can I resolve this?

I do not know CSS from a hole in the wall, so give me something simple to fix it please! Tell it to me like I’m a six-year-old!
I have been working on this site for months, and only today found out it looks like s*** on a PC. Please, any solutions?
    Thanking you in advance,
    Gloria

i doubt it’s a Mac vs PC issue, probably and more commonly an IE vs Chrome/Safari issue.

looking at your site i can’t see any images, what i assume is your avatar/profile pic

your code shows http://[IP address removed]/show-image/?img=/wp-content/uploads/2012/12/Gloria_head_shot_WP.jpg

    perhaps this is the problem?

I’m not sure how you are adding images to this but that url won’t work

    it needs to be http://yourdomain.tld/wp-content/uploads/folders/to/filename.ext

TCR, thanks for your suggestions but I gave up…I just spent so much time trying to figure it out and searched the forum for suggestions, like deactivate all the plug-ins, switch the theme to twenty eleven, which I did!

I think it’s an IE problem. but when I checked the site on my my iPad, the image sliders were still black. A photographer with black images just doesn’t fly…so I switched my theme to sliding door, and that has problems as well.

It wasn’t an IE problem as it wasn’t working on Chrome or any other browser.

how were you adding the images to the slider?

i added images to the minimatica slicer by uploading them from my hard drive.
