Won't display on blog pages

For some reason the widget treats my blog pages as the homepage, I have to select ‘display on homepage’ for it to display on my blog pages and when I do this it just shows all top level pages in the nav as opposed to the section the page is actually in.

Here’s one of my blog pages that it’s not displaying on as I’ve deselected the ‘display on homepage’ setting: http://v2.thetflforum.co.uk/news/featured/

I’m not sure why this page is being treated as the homepage by the widget, any help would be appreciated.
