Unable to edit first post in a topic

    It seems that whenever I create a new topic I’m never able to edit the post after submitting it. The edit link displays just fine, and the url in the statusbar appears to be correct; but when I click it I end up on the WordPress Support page. Is this a bug with the forum software?

    What’s the link to that topic? I just released a post of yours from the spam queue and that may have prevented you from editing it.

    It’s here. I was able to edit this now. So are new topics automatically queued for spam moderation? And would this prevent the author from editing thier post?

    Nope. The spam filter make a judgement about all posts submitted and usually is correct. In your case it wasn’t but that’s why moderators review the queue. I released your post and your subsequent posts were not picked up as spam.

    And would this prevent the author from editing thier post?

    Apparently. 😉
