Support » Fixing WordPress » rss feed widget not performing for me, i’m not smart. :(

  • Hi, I’m trying to allow people to subscribe to my blog with an rss feed.

In the widgets menu, I’ve added RSS1… then I checked down at the bottom of my theme (see http://www.24hrknight.com) there is a little button for my feed… that works (added it to my bloglines). It IS: feed://http//www.24hrknight.com/feed

HOWEVER… when I put that into my RSS URL for the feed, it comes back saying:

“Error: could not find an RSS or ATOM feed at that URL.”

Not sure what to do… Yes I am the resident NOOB here.

Thanks! You peeps have been extremely helpful so far thank you. 🙂

    Drew

I should add… that feed url is what shows up in my status bar when I hover over the link at the bottom of my “blog” 🙂

    crap.

I also have this problem. 3 feeds work but when I tried to add the Techcrunch feed, I get the message: “Error: could not find an RSS or ATOM feed at that URL.”

Your feed is http://www.24hourknight.com/feed and it works fine. Not sure why you want to use the rss widget. You only need a text widget with a neat little graphic which points to your feed url.
