Read More not working

Please can somebody help me in simple laymans terms. I have browsed the forums and found a few answers pertaining to the issue of my readmore links not working but all answers have answers which need somebody that is a wordpress pro. Where could i find a simple answer to my problem or even a plugin that could solve my problem.

Hoping for some assistance which i can understand.
