Anybody know how to remove the link from the post title in the Twenty Twelve Theme? I think it is kind of a mistake or something because the link just links to the same page and I am sure this annoys anybody who clicks on it. I know it annoys me. It doesn’t even make sense for it to be like that. My site is Professional Web Marketer so you can see what I mean.

  • Are you going to have more than one post on your homepage?
If not, then instead of using a post on your home, why not use a page and have a static page?

All themes have clickable post titles and this makes it useful when you have lots of posts and use read more tags. You can either click on the read more or the title of the post.

If you must use posts, you’ll have to make a child theme and edit the loop.php.

    Thanks,
I tried that earlier, but something wasn’t working. I am not sure what, maybe something with SEO, although I cannot imagine why. I just know I tried that and for some reason I had to stay with the posts for the front page, because something wasn’t right. So far, I see no issues.
