• I think this may be a confusing question but I’ll try to be clear. What time zone does the plugin use for it’s expiration? The visitor time zone? The Time Zone as selected in the settings of the website? The reason I ask is I’ve set my expiring content to [expires off=”2013-02-02] However, it’s still 2013-02-01 and the content is already hidden. The site is set to the New York timezone in the WordPress settings but I myself am in Mountain Time (MST). After some trial and error I’ve set it to [expires off=”2013-02-02 5:00:00″] and am hoping it will remove the content at midnight New York time on 2013-02-01. Anyway, anything you can advise to help make it more clear for us. Great plugin btw (even better once this is sorted).

  • The way the code stands, it’s none of the above (except by coincidence). Instead, it’s the server’s timezone (in many cases, this is set to UTC).

My preference would be that it use the site’s timezone. If the plugin author isn’t interested in updating this, I may release a fork that does.
