Need help/clarification with wordpress blog migration!

Hello there,

I’m having some trouble understanding what I need to do to migrate a wordpress blog in my situation so I’m hoping the community can clarify 🙂

My situation is as follows. I own the domain name alexvasile.com which is my main domain name with hostgator. Next to this I’ve added another domain, 2mitocani.ro which is the blog that needs moving. Now, I am moving this blog to another server where the main domain name is no longer alexvasile.com, the main domain name is okotto.com. I’m mentioning this because I noticed when adding an addon domain it adds on as a subdomain to the main domain name. i.e. it currently is 2mitocani.alexvasile.com

All that being said, I’ve read the wordpress codex on moving a blog but I’m not sure whether or not in my situation, I’m switching just servers or URLs and domain name as well?

Because essentially the main domain changes as well as the server, however the blogs domain 2mitocani.ro won’t change, it will just be under 2mitocani.okotto.com after the migration.

So can anyone clarify how I’m supposed to go about the migration in this situation? I’m a bit confused as to how it’s meant to be done.
