    Hi

    Today, after creating backups for some time using Duplicator – I decided to try the procedure of installing the package on a different location and see if it works. And it fails.

    This is the problem I have – the 1st step – no problems with that at all, then, after completing the step 2 – the website is not working on a new location. I cannot even log in to wordpress to resave the permalinks. It seems that the link update script is not working properly – and the links are duplicated: This is the example

    http://www.samplepage.comwww.samplepage.com/…./….

    I managed to make it work on a local BitNami WordPress stack – by skipping the “Update” step of the Installer – and update links manually later.

    But when I tried to do it back on the server – the trick doesn’t work – and I think I’m experiencing all possible issues in the same time + permission problems.

    Any ideas why Installer.php is duplicating the website address after Updating links procedure?

    Thanks

  • Hey Waveman777,

    That is pretty strange… If you want to submit a support ticket I can work closer with you on this. Not sure what is causing the issue…

    Sure, will do, thanks!

    Alright I’ll be looking into it shortly…

    This issue was identified by the following variables that were set in the wp-config.php file:

    define(‘WP_HOME’, ”);
    define(‘WP_SITEURL’, ”);

    If these values are created then they may cause issues after install. The install report in version 0.4.2 now warns if these variables are set.
