• Keeps appending “site name” to the end of my site name and short description in the browser window (the name you see in the blue part at top of your browser or in a tab.

I have the settings set up, but how it doesnt work. It looks like this:

Fashion Fred | Designer Replicas at Discount PricesFashion Fred

It appends “Fashion Fred” at the end with no spaces.

    How to fix?

  • I have the same issue and it’s driving me nuts already.. I tried changing the parameters under Titles&Metas > Homepage > Title template, but it keeps placing a duplicate site title at the end of the the same title. I also tried removing it from Settings > General, but it has nothing to do with this.. so please help.

Ok I resolved this. You should check the “Force rewrite titles” check-box under Titles&Metas > General.

Yes but doing that removes the | spacer and puts a “=”. how do i get the | back?

I fixed that by deleting the option %%sep%%, which stands for separator, and simply replacing it with the one I wanted. For example, before, it was: %%sitename%% %%sep%% %%sitedesc%%, and now it’s just: %%sitename%% – %%sitedesc%%.
