Slow site

Hi guys,

Not sure if this is in the right spot.

I’m running a multi site and have recently activated the basic settings of the W3 Total Cache plugin (browser and page caching). I still find that my site loads quite slow (currently at about 12 secs). I am aware the site is media heavy, but I still think the initial load is quite long. The demo theme actually loads in 3 secs and is only 300kb smaller than my site.

I am not super web savvy and am not sure if I have to look at wordpress or at the host. I have been looking at getting a CDN, but don’t want to spend money before I hear your thoughts. Would be great if anyone could shine their light on the situation and tell me where the bottle neck is!
