Cute Gig Manager won't return date

When i create a gig and then save it – the date comes back 000-00-00.
So when i use the short code for upcoming gigs – it says no upcoming gigs because it sees the date as the current day (in the Manage Gigs section it show January 30, 2013 for example – the day i made the gig. Please help i like the idea of your plugin – would like to use it.
