Strange formatting even without CSS

    I’ve used this plugin many times, but for some reason this time when I am trying to use it the formatting is all strange. I have it set so that the plugin doesn’t use the default CSS.

    There’s heaps of padding before and after all the different sections of the content and the meta information is formatted on different lines.

    I can’t seem to find anything in the CSS that might make it appear this way. I even tried removing my own stylesheet just in case that was affecting something but it appeared the same just without the styles for the rest of the page.

    Oops! I figured it out. I pasted in the shortcode in Visual mode and it added a <pre> and <code> tag before and after it making it look strange.
