Frustrated, Having Trouble Working everything

    I can’t seem to make heads or tails of this site designer. I feel like I’m blindfolded in a room full of obstacles $#&(@(#*@!!!!! I have been beating my head up against a wall trying to just grasp the basics for a week now. But my host has decided not to continue supporting the designer I was using, so I am stuck.

    I have tried a few different themes, but I can’t figure out how to edit parts of them…as a matter of fact, I am unclear if the parts I wish to change are even meant to be changed. The theme I really would like to use is:

    PilotFish

    Can I change the image of the blue trees to my own image?
    Can I change the Header/Page Title Font?
    I FINALLY figured out how to change the “Hello World” text that floats over the image….that took me all night!

    I want to be able to control my own font style and size at random (easily). I have only ever used SiteDelux to build my site. I really like the modern look of WordPress, but as difficult as it is for me to use is discouraging. You can view my old site at:

    I was in the process of overhauling it when I discovered that SiteDelux would no longer be supported, so it doesn’t look very good at the moment.

    Beyond that, these forums only support themes from here:
    http://wordpress.org/extend/themes/

    so I’d recommend using one of those so we can help you with further questions. It look like right now you have twentyeleven active on your site?

    You can learn to use WordPress by reading the Support Documents and watching tutorials on web.
    For things that seem too difficult or you don’t find answer to : you can post job at jobs.wordpress.net
    And yes, WordPress offers the option to edit a lot of things and make an excellent blog/website.

    I am trying to build a website, not a blog. Another thing that I can’t figure out…how to not have my page look like a blog.

    I have been sitting here with two windows open….every Youtube video “how-to” in one, and my site on another. Editing along with the instructor. Problem is, the videos are old and certain things seem to have changed a bit.

    Yes, at the moment I have Twentyeleven active. I decided to try a simpler theme to cut my teeth on…something closer to what the video tutorials use. But I would prefer to have a different theme.
