MULTI LOOP: get_posts for category children, not parent categories

I can’t get my mulitiple loops to perform as I want.

category=1 and category=2 are PARENT categories. All my postings are filed in children of their respective parent categories…

Is there a way to do the multi-loop functions so they pull postings within the respective parent category versus me having to grab a specific child ID?

Right now, none of the postings are pulling in how they should, even if I change each postings category to be either 1 or 2.

For example, the 3rd loop (golf_news) should be pulling down articles with category=2 attached, and instead its pulling category=1.

Any help is appreciated.
