  • First of all I love this plugin (big thanks to Nick) but I just wanted to report the same thing which I noticed this morning in case it helps solve the issue

To be clear what’s happening for me is I am trying to select a Page or a Custom Post Type from the Post Type: dropdown in a widget (this is with existing widgets and new ones)

I am also running WP 3.5.1 and Genesis 1.9.1

Hello Nick. Any news about this issue’ I think there is something wrong in the ajax interface. Dropdowns menu quits before I have the time to make any selection. It’s a weird issue… please, con you check it?
    Kind regards!

Hi there – I’m also having this problem on various dropdown menus within the widget.

Am using WP 3.5.1 and Genesis 1.9.1 with Lifestyle theme. Problem occurs with Chrome (Version 24.0.1312.57 m) and Internet Explorer 8 on Windows XP.

I am having the exact same issue.

I am using Genesis 1.9.1, WP 3.5.1 and the Outreach child theme from StudioPress.

Please fix this, as I rely on this plugin for all of the sites I build for clients.

I am having the same problem as well.

    Genesis 1.9.1, WordPress 3.5.1, GFWA 0.8.1, Firefox 18.02

On Firefox, I have noticed the problem with all dropdown options on the widget. The dropdowns seem to work, but they loose focus after 1 second. So if I am very quick, I can make a selection.

I suspect their is something screwy happening with the jQuery on the widget editor that makes the dropdowns lose focus before we make our selection.

    I have the same problem

Hi Nick, This has been a great plugin, but since WP 3.5 I am experiencing the same issue as well, unable to chose any dropdown options. It is occurring on many different sites and with a variety of Genesis child themes.

Not sure if you have all now found a solution for this.

I found that when selecting if you HOLD down your mouse key, instead of just clicking, and then drag it down to your selection before letting go it works.

I have this problem too lately in Firefox and Chrome.

It looks like someone may have identified a fix for this: http://www.studiopress.com/forums/topic/featured-custom-post-type-widget/

You’ll need to edit the plugin files to make this work. (Also not sure if it solves all the problems people are reporting on this thread.)
