you can get an updated version of the file that allows you to have more feeds here

    https://dl.dropbox.com/u/3132388/options.php

I’m having this same issue. After using the above file, I’m not seeing any difference. However, I’ve found this is an elegant solution to moving a site in which the standard WP-Export/Import process is completely incompetent to utilize and other means are too risky for the database. The only problem so far is the inability to import the entire feed. I only have 200 entries among 6 categories/feeds to import. But it keeps stalling out around 58 total entries.

Is there a way to increase the number of entries pulled from each feed so that it will just pull everything? If so, this would greatly increase in value as an import tool for difficult sites because it handles the rss to post and (re)assigning categories beautifully!

Thanks in advance for any advice.

    Hello
First of all, what is the URL of the RSS feed you are trying to import.

    Allen

Hi Allen. I’m not sure what the single RSS feed will tell you, but it’s (www.kronosunbound.com/feed).

For me, the import of individual categories is the brilliance of your plug-in. By allowing for each category to be imported and then funneling each entry into a new post with that category attached, sites that have difficulties of import (such as receiving the dreaded “invalid post type” error) have a chance to eliminate hours upon hours of work in moving from one location to another. But the limitations of the import to only 20 or so entries per feed stands in the way.

Thanks for your time and assistance!

Well, by looking at the feed I can immediately see there are only 10 entries, so you can set the plugin to bring in 100s of entries, but only 10 will come in.

The second thing by looking at the feed is I can see each item only has one or two lines of content, so that is all you can bring in.

If you want the entire content of the site, the site needs to put that in the RSS feed…the plugin cannot do anything but read the contents of the RSS feed.

I hope this helps you understand what is going on.

Totally makes sense. Thanks for sorting this out for me!

Except, now that I have all posts available through the RSS, the most the plug-in will pull is 40 of them. Originally, I thought I might be able to add a line of code in the options to increase the pull limit to 100 per feed and 500 total. But that had no effect. I admit I’m just not a programmer even if it seemed logical when I first thought about it. 🙁

In any case, I’ve fixed the feed side of the equation. Is there a way to increase the pull-limit for each feed so that all 150-ish of the entries come over from all categories when pulled as rss-to-post?

Thank again for all your help!
