• Hi

I have an old website, wordpress that my ex-hosting co set up basically. I could choose a theme which was a Woo theme called Mortar.
    I really like it
I have another hosting co, and I have a new website, so now 2 websites.
The issue is that I would like to use the Mortar theme for the 2nd website but I don’t know how.
When I am in the CPanel I see many WP-content> themes folder.

    XYZ.COM.AU (new wpress web)
    cgi-bin
    wp-admin
wp-content (In the themes here, I can’t see Mortar, but other themes I explored)
    wp-includes
    images
    wp-admin
wp-content (In themes here, I can see the Mortar theme, but as said, I can’t access it from my dashboard admin window. I see also in my old website a message to get rid of ‘A possible old version of the TimThumb script was detected in your theme folder. Please remove the following files from your theme as a security precaution: – thumb.php” So I don’t know if it it relevant to something. I can this that script inside the Mortar them
    wp-includes
    wp-snapshots
    tmp

Thank you very much, if you could explain in plain simple language as I am computer language illiterate.

  • if you’ve cpanel and can park/add-on more domains you’ll just have to add the new domain(xyz.com.au) into your cpanel which will create a new directory in your /home/(username)/public_html/xyz.com.au under this directory you can put a fresh installation of wordpress then you can simply copy the Mortar theme folder to your freshly installed wordpress wp-content/themes/ folder i hope you got my point, you cannot have 2 wordpress installation on the same level(directory).

    Hi
I had install Installatron which installed all in the directory.
I have tried to copy and move (as I could not copy and paste) the theme but when I went back into the web admin, I could not access it. So I move it back.
Is it because it was a paid theme?

When I go to my Files manager, I am asked what directory I want to open.
Say I select the old web, here is what I have
    `http://OLD WEB.com.au:2082/frontend/x3/filemanager/index.html?dirselect=domainrootselect&domainselect=OLD WEB.com.au&dir=%2Fhome%2FUSERNAME%2Fpublic_html&showhidden=1′

If I select the new website directory:
    http://OLD WEB.com.au:2082/frontend/x3/filemanager/index.html?dirselect=domainrootselect&domainselect=NEW WEB.com.au&dir=%2Fhome%2FUSERNAME%2Fpublic_html%2FNEW WEB.com.au&showhidden=1’

I have exactly the same thing in the directory:

    public_html
    cgi-bin
    NEW WEB.com.au >>>>>>>>>> NEW WEB
    cgi-bin
    wp-admin
    wp-content >>>>…EXTENDING >>>>
    blogs.dir
    languages
    plugins
themes >>>>>>>….EXTENDING>>>>> You see below, no MORTAR
bizway THOSE THEMES ARE EXAMPLES THAT I CAN ACCESS FOR THE NEW WEB.COM.AU
    d5-design
eclipse I COPIED AND MOVED MORTAR FROM THE WP CONTETNT/THEME BELOW BUT I COULD NOT ACCESS IT IN MY ADMIN SITE
    mantra
    responsive

    upgrade
    uploads
    wp-includes
    images
    wp-admin
    wp-content > 2ND WP CONTENT , EXTENDED >>>>>>>>>>.
    plugins
    themes
    … (EXTRACT)
    amped
    inspire
    mocha

    mystique
    wootube
    www
    upgrade
    uploads
    wp-includes
