Support » Plugin: Events Manager - Calendar, Bookings, Tickets, and more! » Excerpts have no formatting

Excerpts in the event listings page loose all formatting. HTML formatting is retained but I don’t want my client to have to code any HTML. Following’s an example of the problem:

    Sample Content:

Hoyne Brewmasters Dinner at Cafe Brio
    Thursday, January 31st, 2013

    MENU

    F I R S T

    The Excerpt:

    Hoyne Brewmasters Dinner at Cafe Brio Thursday, January 31st, 2013 MENU F I R S T

    Has anyone encountered this?

Note: I am comfortable with PHP and if someone can point me in the right direction or let me know which file to edit I’ll dive in and take a look.

    Thanks in advance.

  • Hi,

I tried this one and seems to be working fine with my test site; here’s what I tried

    – added sample text THE<br/>EXCERPT<i>TEST</i> in Excerpt section when creating a new event
    – uses placeholder #_EVENTEXCERPT at Settings > Formatting > Events > Default single event format

    actual result:

    THE
    EXCERPTTEST

this may have been fixed in a recent update, are you on the latest release of the plugin?

    Resolved!

As agelonwl suggested, checked out the Settings > Formatting > Events section and swapped #_EXCERPT with #_NOTES in the ‘Default event list format’ field. Works like a charm.

Thanks agelonwl and Marcus for all your help!

    Cheers!
