    Hi … you’re absolutely right, no plugin should cause a page or post or any other part of a site to crash or not load.

    With WP Quadratum, if any of the calls to the Foursquare API fail, the widget won’t display the check-in map. That is the only side effect; no crashes or failed post/page loads.

    I can see that there’s probably a need to add a configurable message to be displayed if the API is down though … I think this classes as a feature request for a new version.
