    When I post a new article on my blog it does not send a notification to my current sub list.

    Additionally it doesn’t render out the HTML like it has been in the past, even though it’s set to send out HTML emails.

    We are running 8.6 as 8.7 performed worse than the previous install.

    Please help!

  • @james,

    You cannot set the plugin to send out HTML emails, Registered Subscriber can choose their email format, Public Subscribers get plain text in the free version and HTML in the paid HTML version.

    There were no changes made to the functions that handle the sending of emails when posts are made so I find it strange that 8.6 works better for you than 8.7.

    How do I ensure the client I am helping is using the paid version?

    @james,

    On the Plugins page it should say “Subscribe2 HTML” and not “Subscribe2”. If you install correctly, making sure the files are in a folder called subscribe2_html (and not one called subscribe2) in the wp-content/plugins/ folder AND they have a valid license key updates will be automatically prompted, just as they are for the main WordPress plugins.
